Our Brand New Dining Hall!

We proudly present our beautiful, completely remodeled campus dining hall, Geronimo’s! We are so excited about the changes and hope you will be too! Geronimo's features Cilantro's Tacos & Tostada Bar, Pizzazz Pizza & Pasta, Checkers Deli, Grill & Greens, Matador Entrees, Flakes Cereal Bar and Dessert Island. Plans are also in the works to have themed and special meals. Geronimo’s is located inside the Satellite Student Union close to the residence halls at Zelzah and Lassen.

About The Meal Plan Office

• Meal Plans are available to all students, including those living off-campus.
• Annual Meal Plans are active starting Saturday, August 22, 2009, and end on Friday, May 14, 2010. Spring 2010 Meal Plan are active starting Saturday, January 16, 2009, and end on Friday, May 14, 2010.
• Meal Plans are not included in the on-campus housing fees.
• The Meal Plan Office and the Housing Office are completely independent of each other.
• Please submit all paperwork related to your Meal Plan to The Meal Plan Office, not to Housing.
• We are located on the third floor of the Sierra Center inside The University Corporation between Sierra Hall and Jerome Richfield Hall.

How Do I Apply For A Meal Plan?

Download the Meal Plan Application, fill it out and either mail it or bring it to the Meal Plan Office along with you payment. Do not send any applications by email! Please do not make any payments for your Meal Plan to Cash Services until you see the remaining charges for the semester posted on your CSUN Web Portal. For specific questions regarding meal plans, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions.

Students Living in Housing Units Without a Kitchen

• Purchasing either a 10 Meal Flex 600, 12 Meal Flex 400, or 14 Meal Flex 200 meal plan is required.
• If you have financial aid, they will not cover the initial payment which is required to secure your meal plan.

Deadlines

• Must, must, must purchase a meal plan before moving into campus housing!
• You will not be given a key or even allowed to chose your room if you have not yet purchased a meal plan.
• You have until January 8, 2010 to submit your Meal Plan Application.
• Once you have gone through the application and payment process, you will receive an email letting you know where and when you can pick up your meal plan card. Please make sure you bring your CSUN photo ID card with you when you pick up your card.
• The sooner you get your application in, the smoother things will go once you arrive on campus.
• Note: If you have Financial Aid, you must submit your application along with the first payment, even though it may be before financial aid disburses.

Students Living in Housing Units With a Kitchen

• Meal Plans are not mandatory, but are available to those who are interested.
• The 7 Meal Kitchen Plus Plan was specially designed for busy students who may not want to cook everyday.
• With fewer meals at Geronimo's and more dining dollars for on campus meals, it’s a perfect balance between eating at home and dining out.
• Remember, you can only cancel a meal plan if you move off campus or withdraw from CSUN.

Deadlines

• There is no deadline for signing up, so feel free to get a feel for your living situation before you apply.
• If you are already 100% sure that you would like a meal plan, submit your application and 1st payment to the Meal Plan Office before the start of the semester so we can have your meal card ready for you by the time you move in to your campus housing.
• Once you have gone through the application and payment process, you will receive an email letting you know where and when you can pick up your meal plan card. Please make sure you bring your CSUN photo ID card with you when you pick up your card.
• Remember, you can only cancel a meal plan if you move off campus or withdraw from CSUN.
• Note: If you have Financial Aid, you must submit your application along with the first payment, even though it may be before financial aid disburses.

Students Living Off-Campus

• Meal plans are available to students who do not live in campus housing.
• The 7 Meal Kitchen Plus Plan or the non-meal plan option are recommended.
• If you are interested and would like more information, please send email us at mealplan@csun.edu. Be sure to include your name, CSUN ID number and where you will be living while attending CSUN.
• Note: The 7 Kitchen Plus Plan requires you to dine at Geronimo's 7 times a week so please make sure your schedule allows you to do so.

• Remember, you can only cancel a meal plan if you move off campus or withdraw from CSUN.
• Note: If you have Financial Aid, you must submit your application along with the first payment, even though it may be before financial aid disburses.

Resident Advisors Living in a Housing Unit with a Kitchen

• Meal Plans are not mandatory, but are available to those who are interested.
• The Block 25 meal plan was specially designed for busy students who may not want to cook everyday.
• The 14, 12, 10, and 7 meal plans are also available.
• Remember, you can only cancel a meal plan if you move off campus or withdraw from CSUN.

• There is no deadline for signing up, so feel free to get a feel for your living situation before you apply.
• If you are already 100% sure that you would like a meal plan, submit your application and payment to the Meal Plan Office as soon as possible so you can start enjoying meals at Geronimo’s.
• Once you have gone through the application and payment process, you will receive an email letting you know where and when you can pick up your meal plan card. Please make sure you bring your CSUN photo ID card with you when you pick up your card.
• Remember, you can only cancel a meal plan if you move off campus or withdraw from CSUN.
• Note: Payment Plan option is not available for the Block 25 Meal Plan.
